What you achieve with us

As a BI Developer & Consultant, you will work at the interface between data modelling, visualisation, consulting and enablement - and help to establish BI as an integral part of our customers' data-driven decision-making processes.

You will have a concrete impact in these areas:

Strategic BI consulting & infrastructure

  • You support the specification of key figures, authorisation and role concepts and governance rules.

  • You advise on architecture decisions and the selection of suitable tools, data sources and interfaces.

  • You support the BI infrastructure at tool level - e.g. by setting up, configuring and maintaining Tableau Server/Cloud or Power BI Service.

Modelling & data quality

  • You ensure that all visualisations are based on a consistent, comprehensible and maintainable database.
  • You analyse requirements, existing business logics and available data structures in order to develop targeted data models for BI applications and model and transform data directly in the BI tool (e.g. DAX, LOD) or via SQL (e.g. views in BigQuery).
  • You define and document KPIs, mappings and semantic structures.
  • You ensure that data models are logical, resilient and future-proof.

Data visualisation & insights

  • You design and develop dashboards - depending on the use case, target group and platform strategy.

  • You design visualisations that convey complex relationships clearly and interactively.

  • You use BI tools as a lever for control, transparency and optimisation in operational and strategic processes.

Training, enablement & data culture

  • You conduct on-the-job training and support analysts, power users and specialist departments in the efficient use of BI tools.

  • You teach best practices for self-service, documentation and sustainable data maintenance.

  • You support the organisational embedding of BI - for example through defined roles, processes and responsibilities.

Co-design, project responsibility & community

  • You manage (sub)projects independently and work closely with project managers and stakeholders.

  • You actively contribute your experience to the further development of our processes, tools and standards - professionally, methodically and culturally.

  • You keep up to date with current trends and best practices in the field of BI & visualisation and actively participate in specialist communities, meetups and conferences.
